Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (SPM) was founded in the year 1960 with generous donation from Shree Bhikulalji Nabira so as to spread higher education in this area as it lacked the facility of higher education. Late Barrister S. K. Wankhede (The creator of famous wankhede cricket stadium Mumbai) was the founder President of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal till his death. He is a man of vision and under his dynamic leadership, academic activities leading to specialization in various field were started.
