National Cadet Corps
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces. Its activity is guided by certain core values that we endeavour to still in among the youth. It was established in India during the year 1948 as an Indian military cadet corps with its head Quarters at New Delhi. NCC is a voluntary organization which is open to school, college and university students all over India. Air Force, Army and Indian Navy are three wings which are involved in grooming of the country’s youth into patriotic, responsible and well-disciplined citizens. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.
Motto of NCC
“Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980. ( Ektaa Aaor Anau Saasana )
Aims of NCC
- To develop character, commandership, discipline, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the country.
- To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in walks of life and always available for the service of the nation.
- To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.

DO SOLOEMNLY PLEDGE THAT WE SHALL ALWAYS UPHOLD THE UNITY OF INDIA.
WE RESOLVE TO BE DISCIPLINED AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF OUR NATION.
WE SHALL UNDERTAKE POSITIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE IN THE SPIRIT OF SELFLESSNESS AND CONCERN FOR OUR FELLOW BEINGS.
NABIRA MAHAVIDYALAYA, KATOL is recognized as a student Unit division with the 53 cadet intake. NCC unit of the college awarded B and C certification to the students after the training and specific examination.
